Despite a seeming lack of consumer interest, Apple continues to plow ahead in researching future foldable iPhones, iPads, and Macs that could see the light of day as soon as late 2026.
Although it has not publicly commented on future foldable products, Apple has quietly explored the possibilities of such products for years. Thus far, it has been content to let others try first, though none of the early entrants in the foldable market have had much success so far.
The problems with foldables so far are that they are very expensive, and also very prone to damage, especially around the hinge mechanism. In addition, foldable devices tend to have a visible ”crease” in the display along the fold, which becomes more noticeable over time.

The Magic Mouse has gone a long time without any major changes to its design beyond things like dropping the AA batteries and gaining a USB-C port, but Apple is now reportedly planning an overhaul. In the Power Onnewsletter, Mark Gurman reports that Apple has started working on prototypes for a more modern version of the Magic Mouse, which was first released way back in 2009.

With iOS 18.2, Apple introduced an all new Mail app. It introduced mail categorization, a fresh coat of paint, contact photos/business logos for conversations, a new system for grouping emails, and more. All of that sounded nice when it was unveiled back at WWDC, but now that I’ve actually spent some time using it, I’m having some doubts.

Rumors persist that Apple will roll out a new AirTag in 2025, bringing more precise tracking to the device with a new and longer-ranged Ultra Wideband chip.
The AirTag has had Ultra Wideband from the start. It is at the core of the AirTag, and allows for Precision Finding at relatively close range.
However, a new report on Sunday morning delves into a main improvement in the device. Reportedly the next AirTag will get an Ultra Wideband chip that’s ”on par” with the one found in the iPhone 15.

As reported by The New York Times:
Mr. Cook and Mr. Trump are scheduled to dine on the patio at Mar-a-Lago later on Friday, according to two people with knowledge of the upcoming meeting. The two men had a warm relationship during Mr. Trump’s first term — much warmer than Mr. Trump’s with other tech executives, like Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg or Google’s Sundar Pichai, both of whom recently had their own meals with Mr. Trump.

So is X seeing more or less usage, especially in the wake of the U.S. election?
Because the reports are widely conflicted. Based on third party insights, X is losing millions of users every week, while alternative platforms like Threads and Bluesky continue to gain traction.
Yet, X itself, which is the only source of truly accurate X usage info, continues to report record usage, with its latest update being that “active user seconds”, its preferred performance metric, reached a record high in 2024.
