The facts are all up there in the headline, so let’s deal with the lies first. Lots of places reported on this incident, but we’ll go to the original source, WESH TV.
Body cam footage recovered from Lake County (FL) Sheriff’s Office deputy Tristan Macomber’s body cam showed him driving southbound before hitting a stopped vehicle ahead of him, deploying his airbags. Then it showed him fishing around for his phone (which was now on the driver seat floorboard), flipping it over, taking it with him, and heading to the car he hit to apologize.
Then came all the lies.
At the scene, the deputy told officials a vehicle ahead of him was stopped for a school bus with flashing lights when the crash occurred.
Macomber said he tried to stop, but the “brakes on his patrol vehicle locked up,” the report reads.
Furthermore, Macomber advised the patrol car’s speedometer had just been calibrated and the anti-lock braking system (ABS) light had been on since.

En av de allra tv-serierna på AppleTV+ var thrillern Servant, en historia om ett oar som fölrlorar sitt barn, och som ersätts med en docka för att kunna bearbeta sorgen.
Den nya fyra säsonger långa tv-serien följer ett par i Philadelphia i sorg efter att denna tragedi. Ett sorgearbete som öppnar upp för en mystisk kraft att ta sig in i deras hem. Servant är en mörk blandning av thriller och skräck.
Servant är skapad av Night Shyamalan, som regisserat thrillers som The Sixth Sense, Split, Knock at the Cabin med flera. Kort efter premiären och det visade sig att Servant lockade stora skaror tittare så stämdes Shyamalan och Apple av Francesca Gregorini,som hävdade att Servant var en kopia av hennes film ”The Truth About Emmanuel.” från 2013.
Nu har stämningen avgjorts i domstol och Francesca Gregorini förlorar i ett utslag av en enig domstol.
En federal jury beslutade enhälligt till förmån för M. Night Shyamalan och Apple på fredagen, vilket avslutade en upphovsrättsrättegång där de tilltalade anklagades för att ha stulit element från ett oberoende inslag i skrivandet av streamingserien ”Servant”.
