Det finns en hel del mer under skalet på din Mac i macOS än det du ser och det du kommer åt via Apples eget grafiska skal. TinkerTool är ett program som ger dig ännu fler funktioner och inställningar och som gör det lättare att hitta.
macOS är som bekant ett äkta UNIX-operativ vilket inte bara betyder just det utan också att det finns en lång rad kommandon, inställningar och funktioner som det inte alltid är helt lätt att hitta. Det är är TinkerTool kommer in i bilden – det är ett program där du hittar ännu fler inställningar än de som finns i macOS och det är gratis.
TinkerTool is an application that gives you access to additional preference settings Apple has built into Mac OS X. This allows to activate hidden features in the operating system and in some of the applications delivered with the system.
The tool makes sure that preference changes can only affect the current user. You don’t need administrative privileges to use the tool. With this design, it is no problem to use TinkerTool in professional networks where users have restricted permissions. The program will never change any component of the operating system, so the integrity of your system is not put at risk, and there will be no negative effect on system updates.
All preference settings changed by TinkerTool can be reset to Apple’s defaults, or to the state that existed before using the tool. No dangerous background processes are used for TinkerTool’s operation. You may send bug reports here.

Kando
What’s new in version 1.4.0
- Translations! It is now possible to translate Kando into different languages. Translations are managed via Weblate. To get started, simply visit this webpage and translate the strings into your own language. The changes will be included automatically in the next release of Kando! This version already includes complete translations for seven languages.
- It is now possible to use {{app_name}}, {{window_name}}, {{pointer_x}}, and {{pointer_y}} as part of the URI in the URI action. These placeholders will be replaced with the name of the focused application, focused window, and the pointer position when the menu was opened. Thanks to @AliElamir for the contribution!
- Changed some of the default links in the example menus. It contains now some links to Kando on social media and to the Kando Discord server.
- Fixed a bug which made it possible to select menu items using number keys while the menu editor was open.
