IMPORTANT: Rather than being designed for iPhone and then ”watered down” for your wrist, Dash Timer was designed exclusively for the Apple Watch. The iPhone version of this application does NOT contain any stopwatch or workout features. For that, an Apple Watch (with WatchOS 5 or later) is REQUIRED. However, your iPhone can be used to review Apple Watch instructions and to store workout information from your Apple Watch in your Activity and Health apps.

Dash Timer is a stopwatch and workout application elegantly combined into one robust and easy-to-use package. The full-screen stopwatch is easy to see and effortless to control. Simple touch controls, intuitive swipe gestures, and the lack of small buttons speak to the fact that this stopwatch is designed to be used during intense physical activity.
From the stopwatch screen, you can also monitor your heart rate, control your music, and toggle the workout screen. Before starting your workout, you can swipe up on the workout screen to select between an outdoor run, a track & field workout, a strength training session, or something else. Once a workout has been initiated, workout metrics can be toggled and customized to your liking. Dash Timer can display your total duration, distance traveled, time for your current mile/kilometer, and previous mile/kilometer split. It can also show your current pace, average pace, and pace for your current mile/kilometer. Current heart rate, average heart rate, bpm range, and calories burned are also available. Finally, if you are on an outdoor run, you also have access to lap controls. Keep track of lap time, lap distance, lap mile/km pace, and your previous lap’s split with ease. ALL of this data is stored forever in the Activity and Health apps on your iPhone.
Dash Timer is also full of extra features. As previously mentioned, music controls are available from the stopwatch screen. However, you can force-touch your Apple Watch at any time to access much more:
Command Starts – Want to practice block starts? Don’t have access to starting the stopwatch from your current position? Allow Dash Timer to give you a ”SET” command followed by the sound of a starting pistol. It will then automatically start the stopwatch for you. You’re welcome.
Timed Haptics – Dash Timer can also be set to give you sound/haptic feedback at set intervals while the stopwatch is running. Keep track of time without even looking at your watch! Track & Field athletes can use this to make sure they are staying on pace during an interval. Weight lifters can use this to time their rest intervals, sets, or even individual reps. Those participating in a HIT workout can use timed haptics to keep track of when they should change activities. Crossfit users can use timed haptics for EMOM workouts.
